Today I Forgive.

have a little heart. forgive.

have a little heart. forgive.

Forgiveness is something we often give willingly to the people in our life, but not to ourselves. I am bad for that. I will harbour and dwell on things I did as much as things I can’t control and let them eat away at my soul. It drains your energy, your trust and your ability to love freely. It effects your overall happiness and I have decided I deserve to be happy.

So today I will forgive myself.

  • I forgive myself for not believing in him when I should have.
  • I forgive myself for having a high energy that she can’t deal with.
  • I forgive myself for not being home with my mom when she died.
  • I forgive myself for not living the life my mom wanted me to have.
  • I forgive myself for not having kids while my mom was alive.
  • I forgive myself for letting my mind get consumed with self-doubt and fear.
  • I forgive myself for feeling too much and reacting with tears and sadness.
  • I forgive myself for loving the wrong people.
  • I forgive myself for letting former friends, lovers, and employers take advantage of me.
  • I forgive myself for letting him put his hands on me.
  • I forgive myself for not being able to save my father.
  • I forgive myself for not keeping the house in a state of Martha Stewart clean.
  • I forgive myself for taking risks that failed.
  • I forgive myself for falling victim to depression and anxiety.
  • I forgive myself for not being where I thought I would be in life, at this age.
  • I forgive myself for not always seeing the success I have made.
  • I forgive myself for not always believing in my talents and abilities.
  • I forgive myself for taking the wrong path when the right one was clearly in front of me.

I forgive, fully and completely. And as I forgive I let go of everything that holds me back and I make way for new. I heal my heart and move beyond my scars into a place of happiness. A place I deserve to be and it’s a place I am going to stay because I have the best motivation ever. My daughter.
